Color Digital Printing / Copy Services

In September, 2000, the Kiowa County Press invested in a color digital printing/copy system manufactured by Xerox, a respected name in the digital imaging business.

Walk-in services is currently available for your color digital printing and copying needs.

In the near future, with the addition of a fiber optic internet connection which is being installed at the Press building this month, we will begin testing internet access to our digital printing system. What this will mean for you, as a customer of the Kiowa County Press, is the ability to print directly to our system from your desktop computer via an internet connection as easily as you use a printer in your home or office.

Photo Preservation

One of the most remarkable characteristics of our digital printing/copying system is its ability to produce high quality copies of your photographs. It seems that not a day goes by that we do not hear a customer say, "they copy is better than the original!"

Our customers, especially when preserving old family photos, choose this system due to the fact that the plastic-based ink does not fade or smear, unlike the ink used in a typical ink-jet printer. In addition, we use high-quality, acid-free, archival quality papers from Hammermill to ensure the best possible reproduction, and preservation. Your copies will last a life-time, and can be passed down from generation to generation.

Standard photo reproduction is only $1.99 per 8.5 x 11 inch sheet. In many cases, we can reproduce multiple original photos on a single sheet to save you money. Enlargements or reductions can be made from most photos, depending upon the quality of the original.

Note: due to copyright laws, we cannot copy studio/professional photos without written permission from the studio, photographer or other copyright holder. In addition, duplication of currency is prohibited, and our system will refuse to copy U.S. currency.
