Junior Kerissa Sicklebower tied up the ballgame with McClave with less
than a minute on the clock, 37-37, by hitting this freethrow. The Lady
Eagles had the top-ranked and undefeated Cardinals on the run until a
last-second three by senior Bethany Peecher ruined the huge upset run.
Eads would settle for second place in District 2 with the 41-37 loss on
Saturday afternoon in the Lamar Community Building. Both McClave and Eads
advance to the sate-qualifying regional tournament in La Junta on Saturday
where the Lady Eagles will have their hands full against. Walsh. The two
have met in close encounters twice this year with split results.
