James 1: 17 Scott, Jean, Jennifer, Will, Myles and Charlie Johnson hosted Jean’s family for an early Christmas the 19th. Those attending, Jim and Nancy Brown, Bob and Mary Lou Brown and family Peggy Jurgs and sons, all of Denver; Bill and Teresa Brown and daughter of Castle Rock, and Polly Johnson. A good time was had by all. Terry, Susie and Morgan Gibbs of Capitan, New Mexico, Jason, Haley, Reedy and family from Lamar, Casey Gibbs, Shannon White, Heather, Dalton, Kaley, and Cierra Braaton, and friend Galen Wilson from Lamar, Amy and Gracie Rameriz from Pueblo, Vic and Doris Gibbs celebrated Cierra’s 4th birthday and an early Christmas at the home of Ralph and Marilyn Bullock Saturday. Glaida Craven visited Helen Carrigan, Rosa Schrammel, and Margaret Brown this week. Elmer Brown and Polly Johnson visited Glaida this week. Friday afternoon Mervine Steiner, Peggy Pursley, Eva Kregel, amd Diane Craven had coffee at Glaida’s home. Probably some good visiting went on. The Kit Carson State Bank hosted a wonderful dinner Thursday for the customers of the bank. Great door prizes, a ham, were given to the names drawn. However my name wasn’t drawn. They were given out by none other than Jolly Ole St. Nick. Thank you Bruce and Kit Carson State bank employees, we had a great time.

December 1st Jerry and Peggy Pursley drove to Billings, Montana where they visited Peggy’s daughter, Linda Whitington and husband Mike. December 4th they attended the wedding of Stacie, Peggy’s granddaughter, and Wade Samulson of Billings. Jerry returned home December 5th, but Peggy remained for a longer visit. Peggy flew home December 13th. Howard and Melody Mitchell, T.J and Daniel Ortega, Karen and Michelle Wolf, Jennifer Thatcher, returned home late Tuesday night from their mission trip to Mexico. Their trip went real well it was reported. Anapra townspeople recognize the Colorado vehicle and are excited to see them as they know it has food, toys, coats and blankets. But thanks to all the generous donations by you who make this trip possible. Heather Braaton and children and Gaylon Wilson visited Ida Mae Davis and Angie Saturday morning. Martha (Shulte) Harkins and husband James of Rock Springs, Wyoming stopped in to visit Ida Mae and Angie on their way home from Texas. Ron and Myles Smith were visitors of Ida Mae’s Monday. Elmer Brown of California visited Jennie Schreivogel this week. Jennie reports she is about two weeks behind in her Christmas preparations...I'm with her. Merry Christmas to All and a Happy New Year. If you don’t expect much you ain’t gonna get much.
