Donohoe Turns 100

William Laurance Donohoe turned 100 years old December 11, 2004. At the age of 3, his family left Kansas on the immigrant train to Sheridan lake. They helped build a new community called Brandon, Colorado.

His father, Will, built and ran the livery stable and established a homestead there. Laurance attended school in Brandon and graduated from Brandon High in 1924, where he played basketball.

He left Brandon in 1929 for Santa Fe, New Mexico. His family, Will and Rose and two brothers, Howard and Ralph, remained in the Brandon area until 1932.

Larry now lives in Magnolia Village RV Park in Yuma, Arizona year around. He is part owner of the Donohoe homestead south of Brandon that is currently rented to Jettie Tallman Farms.
