Chamber Honors Citizen, Volunteer of the Year

The Eads Chamber of Commerce honored the recipients of the Citizen of the Year and the Volunteer of the Year during the Eads Fire Department Chili Supper on December 7, 2004. Chuck and Lola Igou jointly received the Citizen of the Year award while Charles Howard was named Volunteer of the Year.
The Igous were selected based upon their long history of helping others and willingness to put forth extra effort on behalf of the community. Their dedication and willingness to go the extra mile to assist anyone was a common theme among the nominating letters.
Howard, who moved to Eads from Texas after his retirement, was honored for his willingness to get involved with matters of importance to the community by serving on multiple volunteer boards such as the hospital board and the Eads Board of Trustees.
