Weirich Wins Statewide Support Service Award

Pam Weirich was recognized with the
Colorado State University Cooperative Extension Meritorious Support
Service Award at the organization's annual awards ceremony on December 9.
The Meritorious Support Service
Award is given each year by Epsilon Sigma Phi, the Cooperative Extension
professional fraternity.
Weirich, who works in the Colorado
State University Cooperative Extension office in Kiowa County, is
responsible for written communications, newsletter, educational material
and event program designs, managing office financial accounts and billing,
managing 4-H enrollment and several 4-H special events and scheduling use
of the fairgrounds. Weirich is touted for her organizational skills,
professionalism and attention to detail.

Weirich also has led regional staff
in finding software to manage events and tutored county and area staff in
software programs.
Weirich also is involved in multiple
community activities, including teaching Sunday school and vacation Bible
school, helping to maintain her church and its grounds, serving as an
active member of the Colorado State Patrol Victim Advocate board,
volunteering at the Weisbrod Memorial Nursing Home each month and
supporting school activities such as athletics, academic groups and FFA.
