On November 29th at 5:00 p.m. the
Prairie Queen 4-H Club met at the Kiowa County Courthouse to start on the
goody bags we hand out for the Christmas Holidays. Not all the members
attended but enough to get started. We started making little snowmen to
put in the bags to give to the elderly people.
On December 5th at 4:00 p.m. we met
again at the Kiowa County Courthouse to finish the goody bags and to also
have the Club Pot Luck for the out going year. When we got there we
finished up the snowmen we had started the first time we meet, and we put
the rest of the items together. When we got done with that the kids paired
off into groups from three to six with one or two adults to go around town
to deliver the bags of goody little treats. When all of the members got
back. Doris Lessenden said the word of grace and then we all dug into the
delicious food that our leaders and parents made for us. For the dinner we
had eighteen adults/parents attending and then sixteen
members/recruitments present.
After we ate the meal we discussed
the 2004 4-H Banquet. The Prairie Queen 4-H Club did excellent this year.
We walked off with a 100% completion of the club. We also won the Scrap
Book contest and best of all the "Over All Club." The Prairie Queen 4-H
Club I think did fantastic this year. I hope that we keep up the good
work!
