Obituary-Katharine Mast, 93

Katharine Mast, age 93, former Eads area resident, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at the Valley View Care Center in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She was born November 17, 1911, in Big Bend, to Anthony and Minnie Doan.

She attended school in Eads, and graduated from Eads High School with the class of 1929. She married Lloyd E. Mast on March 11, 1930. They continued living: in Eads While living in Eads, the Mast family was involved in the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Lloyd died in 1969. Katharine moved to Morgan County to be closer to her daughter.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Lorna Holter of Brush, and Shirtey Pfingston of Salilda; 1 son, Gordon Mast of Eads; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert and William; 1 sister, Pearl, and her parents.

A funeral service was held Saturday, December 11, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Eads. Interment followed in the Eads Cemetery. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory of Brush were in charge arrangements and the Brown Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
