National Honor Society Keeping Busy

The National Honor Society of Eads
High School has been active this semester with chapter fundraising and
community service. Every other Tuesday chapter members bake a dozen
cookies that are sold to students in the mornings and at mid-morning
break. The chapter has also completed a community service project for St.
Jude’s Hospital. Members addressed and sent out around 225 letters
requesting donations to St. Jude’s Hospital. If you have received one of
these letters, your donation would greatly be appreciated and will be used
for a good cause.
Next semester students can apply to
become part of the National Honor Society. Students fill out an
application and are chosen by a committee of staff members based on their
academic achievements, as well as there community involvement and
extracurricular activities. The select few will then be inducted into NHS
in February and will become a member of a tradition that reflects
leadership, community, and academics.
The NHS would like to thank the
students, parents, and everyone else for their devoted time with helping
to raise funds for the chapter and for St. Jude’s Hospital. It is greatly
appreciated.
