The children of Clax and Daisy Duvall would like for you to help their parents celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary and Daisy’s 80th birthday on December 22nd at the community building from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. They have requested no gifts please.
Polly Johnson visited Rex and Jody Buck at Wray. She enjoyed seeing Baylor’s Christmas program and watch Brady play basketball in Yuma.
Jennifer Johnson returned home from Princeton University for her Christmas break. She brought visiting friends Katha Mullen and Caroline Mullen from New York, Rachel Farnsworth from New Jersey, and Mia Swenson from Massachusetts.
Ida Mae Davis had visits recently from the Girl Scouts, Methodist Ladies and 4-H Club all bringing plates of goodies. Kenneth Callison also visited Ida Mae this week.
Elsie Mae White had knee replacement surgery Monday in Colorado Springs. Tammy Haws from Ford, Kansas, and Alesa Meschberg from Garden City, Kansas, Elsie’s daughter-in-law, were able to be with Elsie for several days in Colorado Springs. Ronald and Shirley White went to Colorado Springs Friday to bring Elsie home. Elsie’s daughter, Tammy, is spending a few days with Elsie until she is back on her feet. However I visited Elsie today and she looks great and said she can walk very well with her walker. Wow.
Howard and Melody Mitchell headed out for Juarez, Mexico Thursday, December 15 with T.J. and Daniel Ortega, Karen and Machell Wolff, and Jennifer Thatcher going along to help. I gave it some hard thought about going along but decided to stay home.
Good basketball games this week. The boys played good ball.
