Tri-County GM and Eads FFA Chapter Raise Scholarship FundsDecember 10, 2004 Tri-County GM and the Eads FFA chapter announced today the two organizations raised more than twenty-five hundred dollars, in scholarship and operational funds though the FFA/Chevrolet Scholarship Program, which ran Eads from August 23rd through October 23, 2004. Through the program, FFA members accepted suggested donations of five dollars from local residents. The donors were then invited to visit the dealership for a Chevrolet T-shirt as well a chance to win an all-new 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. The donated funds are earmarked for FFA chapter scholarships, the chapter’s treasury for operational needs, and to support the states’ FFA organization, which helps fund all statewide FFA programs. The FFA/Chevrolet Hometown Scholarship Program was a statewide fundraising program. Individual chapters were matched with their local Chevrolet dealer, who helped support the local chapter’s fundraising efforts through financial contributions and local promotions.
