This was a very difficult week with mother’s funeral Wednesday and the trip to Meade, Kansas Thursday for graveside services and burial next to our daddy Harrison Fell. Mother will be greatly missed but she is at rest and peace with the Lord. That is comforting to know and that we will be together again someday.

I'm happy the basketball season began last weekend. The Wildcats looked a bit rusty but I'm sure Coach Trahern will have them polished up soon. I do enjoy basketball.

Don’t forget to stop in to "Whats On Wednesday Shop". A lot of holiday baking is going on with homemade coffeecakes, cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls and breads. Any one of these would make a great gift.

Anna Gunderson, Bob and Cathy Bledsoe had Sunday dinner with Jennie Schreivogel.

Lori Thatcher, Kirston Kilborn, Holly Mitchek, Mandy Smith, and Melody Mitchell went to Colorado Springs Monday to do some Christmas shopping.

A fine time was had by a large number of ladies Monday evening at the United Methodist church in Cheyenne Wells for a delicious meal and a Christmas tree ornament exchange. We were entertained by the Cheyenne Wells Jr. High chorus singing Christmas music. Thank you to the Methodist ladies for such a nice evening. I know a lot of work and planning goes into this annual gathering.

Given a choice between show and tell, silence is golden.
