Santa Arrives Tuesday December 7th at Annual Chili Supper

The annual Eads Fire Department and Ambulance Service chili supper and holiday kick-off will be held Tuesday night, December 7th, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Eads Fire Station located just west of the county courthouse.

In addition to the great chili, desserts, and beverages served up by members of the fire department, the Eads Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the ‘Citizen of the Year’ and ‘Volunteer of the Year’ awards at 5:45 p.m. This will be followed by the arrival of Santa Claus at 6:00 p.m.

Following the chili supper, Kiowa Healthmart will remain open late for customers to view their wide selection of gift ideas and to help with your holiday shopping needs. The Artists of the Plains Art Gallery will also be open following the chili supper. A large inflatable decorated image of Santa Claus will be on display outside of the gallery while inside the gallery shoppers will find many unique gifts.

The Eads Chamber of Commerce urges everyone to support the efforts of these local entities to assist with holiday shopping in our hometown community.

Residents are also urged to cruise about town to view the decorated homes and businesses, including the Bransgrove Building and others on Maine Street. Do not forget the Eads Chamber of Commerce Christmas Lighting Contest has been renewed this year. Decorate your home and you could win 25, 50 or even 75 dollars worth of Eads Bucks to spend as you choose in Kiowa County.
