LETTER to the Editor- Kinsley
December 3, 2004
This is a season of Thanksgiving. I
would like to thank all those citizens of the 4th Congressional District
who expressed approval of the issues my campaign addressed this past
election by voting for me. I hope they will give thanks for the Green
Party that stands over the long term for the values which will make our
planet a safe, sustainable and positive place for all life. I believe
everyone really holds this to be the chief goal for which we all need to
strive. To that end I urge everyone to give thanks by making a commitment
to work actively within the party of your choice for positive change. I
hope all 12,450 of you who voted for me get registered Green so we can
move the Green vision forward. And I hope you all support the idea of
Instant Runoff Voting to make our election system more about issues and
solutions than image bought with big campaign dollars.
I myself give thanks that Congress
voted last week to eliminate all appropriations for new nuclear weapons
within next year's budget. This is about fiscal responsibility and
military sanity. No just war can be fought with such indiscriminate
weapons. To talk about useable weapons defies reason as well as ethics.
And I acknowledge with respect the work of Representative David Hobson
R-OH for his work on the Appropriations committee which was instrumental
in this action.
Happy thanksgiving
Bob Kinsey
