Kit Carson ClipsDecember 3, 2004 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away....Revelations 21: 4 Our large family is saddened, our dear sweet mother, Ruth Fell, passed away Wednesday, November 24th. No one could ask for a better mother, grandmother or great grandmother than we had. Mother suffered a massive stroke almost seven years ago and has been a resident of the Weisbrod Nursing Home in Eads since. We will miss her terribly, but God wanted her to spend Thanksgiving with him. Jerry and Bonnie Rogers from Liberal, Kansas, Carey and Mindy Rogers and family from Colorado Springs, Chris Rogers from Denver, Max Mays and Maxine Mays from Eads, Willie and Ruth Mays, Juanita Keintz from Aurora, and Annette White had Thanksgiving dinner with Ronald and Shirley White. Scott, Jean, Will, Myles, and Charlie Johnson, Toby, Amy, Brad, Haley, and Tess Johnson, and Polly Johnson spent Thanksgiving at the home of Rex and Jody Buck and family at Wray. Molly Buck returned with the Johnsons to Kit Carson for several days while Charlie and Brad Johnson remained at Buck’s. Jennifer Johnson and a Princeton University friend spent Thanksgiving with her parents in Indianapolis, Indiana. They enjoyed attending the horse races at Churchill Downs in nearby Kentucky. Visitors of Glaida Craven this week were Bonnie Weeks from Lamar, Brent Stoker, Pastor and Christine Davis, and Polly Johnson. Jaryl Everist from Lamar, Tonya Everist, Doug and Mary Wilke, Trenny Simmons, from Aurora and children Maddison, Noah, Mason and Jude had Thanksgiving dinner with Glaida.

Ralph and Marilyn Bullock went to La Junta to have Thanksgiving dinner with Jim Bullock. We had a nice Thanksgiving with a house full of hungry people. Perry White family, Scott White family, Howard Mitchell family, Glen Getman, Lois Behrends and boys Stephen and Chris, Amanda Rigsby and daughter Aspen, Shannon White, Casey Gibbs, Brady White, Cassie Behrends, Richard and Natalie Troyer from Liberal, Kansas were here to share a BIG turkey and ham with Tony, James, and me. Gary Longwell went to Beuna Vista to spend Thanksgiving with his Mother. Anna Gunderson and Jennie Schreivogel went to Denver Wednesday with Herman O. Schreivogel to spend Thanksgiving with Steven and Toni Schreivogel. Tiffany and husband Kevin from Arvada joined them. Steven and Toni brought Anna and Jennie home on Friday and spent Friday night with Eleanor Jones returning home on Saturday. Eleanor Jones spent Thanksgiving Day with Ed and Cindy Harrell in Weskan, Kansas. Doris Price and Penny McPherson went to Denver to have Thanksgiving dinner with Preston Price and family. On Friday they went to Monument, to have dinner with Mark and Sally Mills in their new home. About half your troubles come from wanting your way, the other half comes from gettin' it.
