I hope that everyone had a great
Thanksgiving break. It was a really needed break for most students.
Floyd and Wynona Barnes went to
Cheri Hopkins’s house to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. Rafael Mendonca and
Phil Splitter went down to Amarillo, Texas to visit the Charnesky’s. They
left Friday morning and arrived home on Sunday evening. Floyd and Wynona
went to Garden City to shop.
Larry and Barb Gitchell went to
Kansas City for Turkey-day. Jane Pinto went with them. The Alpha and
Omega, a creation seminar, came down on Sunday and Monday of last week;
there was a potluck on Sunday.
Evelyn Kassel, Jane Pinto and Jeana
Schroeder went to stay with Jeana’s aunt in Colby.
Verna Hallock had Thanksgiving at
her house. Those that attended were Sue and John Sutphin, Monica Sutphin,
Cori McDaniel, Monette and Jay Rowan, Melissa Friend, Ralph Hallock, the
"other" John Sutphin and his children, several grandchildren and Matt
Miller, who came all the way down from Canada. Everyone had a great time,
even thought they ate way too much food. But then again, didn’t we all?
Rodney and Debbie Shivers enjoyed a
turkey dinner in Cheyenne Wells on Friday afternoon. She really enjoyed
the article that my mom wrote for me last week. Deb is also going to get
some "serious" groceries this weekend, hopefully by Friday. And she hates
to wrap Christmas presents. It’s just too much work, as I’m sure most of
you know.
