Progresive Club Meets
By Doris Lessenden
November 26, 2004
Ladies of the Progressive Club met
Thursday afternoon, November 18th at the Eads Senior Center
with Zelda Peterson as hostess. Roll call was answered by telling how many
times each had moved.
Ruth Wissel was instructed to write
a check for Carl Peterson’s Memorial Fund. She reminded the members that
"A Cup of Dough" was due in December, which means a money donation that
helps fund the club’s expenses. Doris Lesseneden showed photos of the 4-H
Banquet and of Milly Spady to whom we gave an award.
The December meeting will be at
Doris’s home . Ladies will bring food gifts to be taken to the Eads Home
Residents and a money gift will be sent to Boy’s Ranch in La Junta. Each
member will bring something to share or do for the Christmas program.
Maxine read two inspirational poems
about Thanksgiving, "Northern Oak Tree" and "Be Thankful". Kaye Kazsa had
the lesson which was an activity of multiple questions on our knowledge on
Thanksgiving history. (We found a lot of facts we didn’t know.)
Zelda served beverages with nuts and
tasty oatmeal cookies with warm conversation.
