Sheridan Lake Livewires Report

The Sheridan Lake Livewires 4-H Club met at Plainview school on November 2, 2004. President Cassie Harris called the meeting to order at 5:51 p.m. with the following members present: Lana Weber, Megan Linder, Shelby Harris, Vincent Koeller, Katie Sanders, Miranda, Lauren, and & Natalya Weber, Tyler Harris, Blaine Shivers, Kacy and Lyaneah Segers, Ryan Koeller, Mathew Sanders, and leaders Pete Rohlman and Gail Koeller.

Members were reminded of the Night Owl, registration forms need to be filled out.

Committee Reports were heard from various Achievement Banquet committees.

Old Business was the third reading and signing of the changes to our Constitution and By-Laws.

Members with covers for the notebook contest were Kacy / Lyaneah and Vincent. The club voted on the cover made by Vincent.

New Business

Our club’s Christmas Party will be December 7 at 6:00 p.m. We decided to have the "white elephant" game, anyone coming to our party who would like to participate in this needs to bring a $5.00 gift in a brown bag, it needs to be marked for a man/woman/child or anyone.

The club voted on finger food items. The meat and paper products will be provided by our club. This same evening at 5:30 p.m. we will be installing our new officers, if you would like to come early and watch you are very welcome.

December 3, 2004 we will be decorating our enchanted forest tree in Lamar and then we will be off to Sandhaven Nursing Home for some Christmas singing and a Christmas treat, we will be making, for all the residence.

 

December 16 we will be playing bingo with the Weisbrod Nursing Home residence and we will have a Christmas treat, we will be making, for the residence.

We voted to put on a CRP/EMT class for our members and the community; this should take place in the early part of 2005.

We voted to send Ronald McDonald a $50.00 donation and save pop tabs for this next year. Lana and Cassie volunteered to see if we could put our "jug" for tabs at school.

Our club is happy to announce we will be helping Fannie Murdock with the Social Service Christmas Trees. With Fannie’s guidance we will be doing everything the same way she did only with a lot of little hands!

Next was the Election of Officers for the 2005 year and they are as follows: President: Cassie Harris; Vice President: Vincent Koeller; Secretary: Megan Linder; Treasurer: Lana Weber; Reporter: Lauren Weber; Historian: Natalya Weber; Song Leader: Tyler Harris; Contact Leaders: Gail Koeller and Susan Greenfield; Council Representatives: Megan, Katie, Kacy, Natalya, Lauren, Shelby, Tyler, Mathew and Vincent.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.

Our next meeting will be on December 7, 2004 at 5:30 p.m. and our Christmas Potluck will start at 6:00 p.m.
