Kugler Company has announced the
appointment of Steve Sackett as manager of its Burlington fertilizer
facility. Sackett will assume the duties of Ron Howard who is retiring.
Gary Kindred has also been appointed as operations coordinator for the
facility.
"Ron led the Kugler facility through
some challenging times in agriculture and we are grateful and appreciative
of his commitment over the years," said John Kugler, co-president. "Steve
will be able to build on the work that Ron did and continue to help Kugler
Company strengthen its leadership in the market."
Sackett has long history with the
Kugler Company, having been an authorized Kugler KQ fertilizer dealer for

The Burlington plant is in the midst
of a two-year expansion project, which will add one million gallons of
fertilizer storage at the Burlington facility—as well as new high-volume
blending and production equipment and a truck load-out facility. "This
will enable us to better serve growers in the area," Sackett said. "Kugler
KQ fertilizers are high quality fertilizers that contain potash, sulfur,
and zinc—and are designed to help fully realize the yield potential of
crop production."
Kugler KQ fertilizers are recognized
for their outstanding quality, ease of application and in-field
performance. Kugler Company’s fertilizer group consists of production
plants, wholesale distribution and retail sales. Productions plants are
located in Culbertson, Nebraska; Sterling, Colorado; and Ulysses, Kansas.
Each plant manufactures a variety of products including a variety of
agricultural blends as well as lawn care and specialty fertilizers. The
products are in a continuous state of improvement with new products added
as they are developed. Most recently, Kugler Company introduced a line of
low salt fertilizers and slow release nitrogen.
A native of Cope, Colorado, Sackett
and his wife, Linda, have two children and three grandchildren.
