Progressive Club Meets

Members of the Eads Progressive Club met at the Eads Senior Center for their October 2004 meeting. For roll call they told about places they would like to visit. The ladies discussed some reorganization plans for the club. It was decided that we could retrain the same officers: Maxine Mays, President; Zelda Peterson, Vice President; Ruth Wissel, Secreteary-Treasurer; and Doris Lessenden, Reporter.

The Progressive Club will be presenting a 4-H Sweatshirt to Millicent Spady at the 4-H Banquet.

The members are making plans for Christmas goodies for the Eads Home and a monetary gift to the Nursing Home and Colorado Boys Ranch.

Doris shared the "inspiration" and the lesson by showing the gifts and materials received at the District meeting at Springfield. She gave a summary of the day and the program topic. Baca County Commissioner presented a power point show on the possibility of the Pierre Augur Project that may be selected for southeastern Colorado which can bring exciting scientific exploration, tourism, and good economic proceeds to this area.

Margie Wiltfang served vanilla cake with peaches and a crème topping with beverages and condiments. She served these with pretty pumpkin plates and with napkins. The next meeting will be Thursday, November l8th and ladies are surely invited to join us.
