Let your light shine before others so that they may see you good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Congratulations Lady Wildcats on your victory at the District Volleyball tournament. That is great! Now, good luck at Regionals this week.

Congratulations to the Wildcats Football team for their victory over Vilas. There was a large fan turnout at the game despite the long distance and high gas prices. Their next game will be at home. Good Luck Team!

Also I hear the Cheyenne Wells Tigers had a victory. Congratulations! What would we do without these young people to entertain us?

Mary Ellen Davis and I went to Colorado Springs Friday for a little business and shopping. Mary Ellen is brave as Colorado Springs traffic has gotten so heavy and I'm not real good diving in traffic. It’s scary at times.

Bunko was Thursday evening with Sandra Arroyo as hostess. We had a good time with almost all members there.

Ronald and Shirley White hosted Anita Young’s birthday dinner Sunday with Mary Ann Young from Lamar, Glen Getman, Max Mays, Annette White, Russell and Aimee Watson and daughters, Ty Stalford, George, Rebecca and Keith Young there to wish Anita a happy birthday.

Tatum Petersen had knee surgery Wednesday. We hope you have a speedy recovery Tatum.

Kit Carson was full of witches and goblins Sunday night. It was a nice evening to be out. Thursday, the school had their elementary Halloween parties. Candy Chamberlain and I hosted James third grade party. I thought I was through with that years ago, but it was fun.

Vern and Elsiemae White went to Dodge City, Kansas on Wednesday and returned home Sunday. While there they visited Elsiemae's grandson, Justin Hawes and wife Susannah who are from Palm Coast, Florida.

Callers on Ida Mae Davis this week were Bob Schecter and Ron Smith from Cheyenne Wells.

Carl Davis from Turpin, Oklahoma and Larry Bryant from Reydon, Oklahoma spent Friday and Saturday night with Ida Mae. They came to attend the Paxson auction. They also fixed Ida Mae's water hydrant while here. Sunday, Erle Davis from Liberal, Kansas visited Ida Mae and then helped Carl and Larry haul home items that they purchased at the sale.

"Whats On Wednesday" opens its doors-guess when. Wednesday at the Senior Center on Main Street! I am baking and baking for it. Stop in and see what. Mary Rhoades, Ida Mae Davis and Norma Jean Polly also have their ovens going. So there will be many yummy things to choose from, or just stop in for a visit and cup of coffee.

Toby, Amy Brad, Haley, Tess and Polly Johnson were Sunday Dinner guests of Scott, Jean, Will, Myles, and Charlie Johnson. They were helping Will celebrate his 18th birthday. Curt Connelley also attended the dinner as he had been helping Scott and family with working cattle on the weekend.

Scott White and sons Brady, Tyler, and Tanner left for the mountains Elk hunting. They are really roughing it near Gunnison in a friend’s fifth-wheel and 4-wheelers to ride instead of horses. Boy-oh-boy.

Raising teenagers is like nailing Jell-O to a tree.
