East End Events

Hey all! I hope that each one of you out there had a great Halloween weekend.

The annual Fall Fest was held at the K.A. Hall on Sunday, October 31st. There was a potluck at 6:30 p.m. and games to follow. All of the kids had a great time, throwing sponges at unlucky victims and throwing darts at balloons.

Sixteen kids are going to Dare to Share this weekend in Denver. There will be a farewell party for David Kober on November 4th at the K.A. Hall.

There will be a blood drive from 1:00 p.m.- 4: 30 p.m. at Plainview School on November 29th. There will also be an open house/potluck bbq/fund raiser at the Towner Hall on Saturday, November 6th at 6:30 p.m.

Rick, Kim, Cassie, and Shelby Harris vacationed to Colorado Springs to celebrate Shelby’s 13th birthday. They spent time with Kim’s family and enjoyed a fun weekend.

Rodney and Debbie Shivers traveled to Longmont to watch Granada play football at state. They won their game and will play Marino on Saturday, November 6th at Granada. Come help and support Blaine and the rest of the Bobcats!! Good Luck!!

Bernice Tuttle went to Lamar on Thursday. She met Lindsey Jensen there. They both enjoyed a child-free afternoon, shopping, and eating lunch. Afterwards, they went back to Lindsey’s house, picked up Trey at school, and went for ice cream.

Peg, Miranda, Lana, Lauren, and Natalya Weber went to Colorado Springs to enjoy a Saturday of shopping and relaxation.

I did two deep thoughts this week because I couldn’t decide which one I liked better.

"Isn't it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do a 'practice'?"

"If the police arrested a mime, would they have to tell him he had the right to remain silent?"
