Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Vern White left home Monday, October 11 for Ennis, Montana where he met friends to go fishing. Of course they had a great time. Vern returned home Onday, October 18. I bet he has some BIG fish stories to tell.

Thursday Vern and Elsiemae White went to Colorado Springs for doctor appointments.

Thursday Irene Gade had knee replacement surgery in Colorado Springs. Get well soon Irene.

Richard and Natalie Troyer from Liberal, Kansas spent the weekend visiting Natalie’s parents, Howard and Melody Mitchell and spent Friday and Saturday night with me. The Scott White family from Burlington, Shannon White from Haswell, Brady White from Wiley, Howard Mitchell family and Richard and Natalie Troyer had Sunday dinner with Tony, James and me. Sunday afternoon Scott got to trim the hooves of three horses of mine. He told me Sunday dinner was hard on his bend over.

Amy Mehrens from Torrington, Wyoming came Thursday to get Ellie Mitchell who had spent 10 days visiting her grandparents, Howard and Melody Mitchell. Amy and Ellie headed home to Torrington Sunday morning. I certainly enjoy Ellie who will be two years old next month. She is a laugh a minute.

The Kit Carson boys made football play off which will be in Vilas Saturday afternoon. Go Wildcats!

Good luck to the girls volleyball team. Play offs are being held in Lamar this week.

Let’s all get out and vote November 2. I am told there is a fantastic meal being served at the Wild Horse Community building at noon by the Wild Horse ladies club. I’d better check that out.

Lettin’ the cat out of the bag is a whole lot easier than putting it back in.
