LCC Fall Knowledge Bowl SetOctober 22, 2004 Lamar Community College will host its annual Fall Knowledge Bowl on Friday, November 5th on the LCC campus. Twelve school districts in the Southeast Colorado BOCES will participate, including Campo, Eads, Granada, Holly, Kim, Lamar, McClave, Plainview, Springfield, Vilas, Walsh, and Wiley. The Knowledge Bowl, designed to promote recognition of educational excellence and scholastic achievement, gives students an opportunity to compete on the basis of their ability to recall information relating to practically all areas of learning typical of secondary educational programs, including geography, literature, sociology, math, journalism, science, government, history, current events, etc. Twenty-one teams of four will take a written test which will determine their placement in the first of four oral rounds. Each of the 200 questions answered correctly will be awarded one point, with the points being accumulated throughout the competition to determine the winning team.
