Assisted Living GroundbreakingOctober 22, 2004 The Kiowa County Commissioners are excited to announce that a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Assisted Living Center will be held Tuesday, October 26, at 11:00 a.m. at the site south of Eads. Numerous officials and community members will be on hand to witness this next phase in the process of constructing the new center, slated to open in about 10 months. Anyone who has an interest in attending this historic event is welcome to attend. The center is made possible in part by a $2.25 million loan from the United States Department of Agriculture as well as financial support from Colorado East Bank & Trust and Valley State Bank. The site is located at the extreme south end of Maine Street in Eads along Lowell Avenue.
