Kiowa County 4-H Council Report

October 15, 2004
The Kiowa County 4-H Council met on
September 28, 2004 at the extension office in Eads. The meeting was called
to order at 7:07 pm by president Milly Spady, with the American Pledge and
4-H Pledge being said. The following people attended the meeting: Jace
Roberson, Dally Lessenden, Vincent Koeller, Brandi Turcotte, Lana Weber,
Cassie Harris, Kim Harris, Bruce & Brenda Fickenscher, Carole Spady, P.J.
Lessenden, Pete Rohlman, Gail Koeller, Pam Turcotte, Shawn Roberson,
Carrie Roberson, Tara Spady, Chevon Glover, Shalyn Laird, and Areta Laird,
The Minutes of the August 17, 2004
Council meeting were read and approved. The Treasurer’s Report was
approved.
The following Reports were given:
P.J. gave the concession stand report and said we had done better than we
had done in the past.
The following was Business:
2004-2005 Council Election Results are as follows: Senator: Milly Spady;
President: Lana Weber; Vice President: Milly Spady; Secretary: Dally
Lessenden; Treasurer: Shaylyn Laird; Reporter: Carrie Roberson; Leader
Advisor: Brenda Fickenscher.

The Friends of 4-H award was
discussed. Fall leader’s forum is in Steamboat Springs Oct. 8- 10. Reg.
Deadline is 9-29-04.
National 4-H Week Events were
discussed. The trophy and sponsor list and review award choices are due at
the office Oct. 8. The new fee to join 4-H will be $10 per member. There
will also be some kind of a user fee for extension office services. The
meeting was adjourned.
Announcements: The district Night
Owl is Nov. 13-14. Registration is due Nov. 1. Outstanding Youth
Nominations are due Oct.8 with interviews set for Oct. 18. Record Book
Deadline is Oct. 14.
Our next Council meeting will be
November 22, 2004 at 7:00 p.m., Eads Extension Office.
