Eads FBLA Starts Fundraiser

The Eads High School Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America has jumped off to a great start this year. The members for 2004-2005 are: Holli Watson, President; Vance Cole, Vice-president; Caitlin Philpy, Secretary/Treasurer; Dain Barnett, Reporter; Jennifer Lynn, Rachel Buck, Delma Ramos, Kyla Cole, Adam Saffer, Matt Seay, Sanket Merchant, Derek Shotton, Destiny Saffer, Kenan Gooden, and Branden Dunlap.

The FBLA members started selling gourmet coffee as a fundraiser on October 7th. The coffee will be sold in one pound bags and can be ordered in the following flavors: Gourmet Blend, Gourmet Decaf, French Vanilla, Heavenly Hazelnut, Snickerdoodle, French Roast, Columbian, and Pumpkin Spice. The chapter gets to keep $4 for every bag sold and the money raised from this fundraiser will go to the FBLA Chapter. Proceeds will help offset costs for District Competitions in La Junta in February and the State FBLA Conference in Vail in April. If you are a coffee drinker, are looking for great gift ideas, or just want to support FBLA, contact an FBLA member or call Mrs. Ellenberger at (719) 438-2214.

The FBLA members will also be sponsoring a fundraiser in November for the Disaster Relief Fund of the American Red Cross, with 75% of the proceeds going to help hurricane victims in Florida and 25% of the proceeds going to the Eads FBLA Chapter. More information will follow at a later date. We appreciate the community's support!
