East End EventsOctober 8, 2004 I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend. By the sound of it, most of the community members were very busy. Floyd and Wynona Barnes and Rafael Mendonca went on a camping trip with some other campers to LaVeta for the Octoberfest On Thursday, Susan Greenfield traveled to Granada to watch the Plainview high school girls play volleyball. She went with Rick and Kim Harris. The Plainview Lady Hawks had a victory over the Granada Lady Bobcats. Susan Greenfield and Cora Coffman ventured to Lamar for lunch. On Friday night, they went to the football game in Granada. They met Jeff and Sheila Brase at Shorty’s for dinner. Verna Hallock went to Granada to attend an auction on Saturday. She also traveled to Granada to watch the Plainview high school girls play volleyball on Thursday. Last weekend, Mary-Louise Huddleston, Verna Hallock, and Sharon Scott went to the Cow Palace for a birthday party. Plainview junior high varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams played Eads at Plainview on October 4, 2004. Unfortunately, Plainview lost. They put up a good fight and had fun playing.

Linly and Sherell Stum went to see Chris at Ft. Lewis College in Durango. They enjoyed seeing different signs of fall. Lane, Tammy and Misti Stum were also there. ERROR! ERROR! Game day is on October 16th, 2004. On Saturday, Bernice Tuttle went to Lamar to watch her grandson, Trey Jensen, play soccer. Bernice Tuttle, Lindsay, Trey and Austin Jensen, Gary Tuttle, Larry and Judy Tuttle, and Chad, Trista, and Iley Tuttle went to Fowler, Colorado last weekend to attend a wedding reception for Bernice’s great nephew. Peg Weber had an impromptu dinner on Sunday. Those in attendance were Rodney and Debbie "Cruise" Shivers, Anne-tiphene Morice, Evelyn Kassel, Jane Pinto, and Bob, Peg, Miranda, Lana, Lauren, and Natalya Weber. After dinner, the girls watched Ella Enchanted, Peg and Debbie talked out by the fire pit, and Rodney and Bob did dishes and talked outside by the fire pit. Avril Lavigne will be in concert at the Pepsi Center on Sunday, November 14th. You can purchase tickets at www.ticketmaster.com. "Are lies just the truth from a different angle?"
