John H. Ebright, 87, longtime Eads resident, was born October 3, 1916 at Hasty, Colorado to Otto John and Mary Katherine (Hostetter) Ebright. John passed away September 25, 2004 at the Holly Nursing Care Center, Holly.

Funeral services for John were held Friday, October 1, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Eads United Methodist Church with Ian Blacker officiating. Military committal service was under the auspices of Eads VFW Post #125. Interment was at the Eads Cemetery.

John is survived by his wife, Verna Ebright of Eads; daughter Karen (Mike) Bryant of Lamar, grandchildren: Michael and Shane Bryant of Lamar; sisters: Eloise Robertson of Scottsdale, Arizona; Marjory Mills of Denver; May Krueger of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law: Janette Ebright of Three Forks, Montana; and numerous other relatives also survive.

Ebright was preceded in death by his parents Otto John and Mary Ebright; daughter Marilyn Ebright; brother Leroy Ebright and brothers-in-law: Charles Mills, Ray Robertson and Gilbert Krueger.
