We called Darwin and Velda Bollinger
to wish them a happy belated 50th wedding anniversary. He said
they had a nice party at the church with a large crowd. Velda is on chemo,
but that she is doing real well. Our prayers are that she will continue
so.
We received a grandparent card from
Nathan and Bernece in Old Mexico and pictures of their kids. They said
things are going well at the orphanage and he is now teaching first,
second and third grade. He is a teacher by profession. He said donations
come in pretty regular.
We had some old friends visit us
today. George and Pearl Pfalzgraff now of Greeley visited us for two or
three hours. For them it is like coming home. George was born here and
Pearl was from north of here in the Second Central area. George and I put
in some time in school together here.
The school kids hauled bales for us
today and it was a welcome sight. Rick Gekeler is their sponsor. A few of
the kids were Jackie Rhoades, a Lengel girl, Mark Hogan, Curt Connelly, a
Dechant boy and I don’t know the rest. They really work.
