The Eads Chamber of Commerce has
announced it will sponsor a candidate forum during the regular Chamber
After Hours meeting to be held at Our Place Restaurant from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
on Monday, September 27th.
The three candidates for Kiowa
County Commissioner have all been invited to attend the meeting to explain
why they are running for office, what they hope to accomplish if elected,
and their vision for the future of Kiowa County. Following the candidates’
presentations, an open question and answer session will be held for
members of the public to ask each candidate questions.
The invited candidates are Vern
Harris, who is seeking re-election from the East end and running
unopposed; and Donald Oswald and Mike Weirich who are competing for the
West end seat on the Board of Commissioners that is currently held by
retiring Commissioner Dutch Eikenberg.
The forum is free to the public;
however refreshments will be available beginning at 5:30 for a fee. The
Eads Chamber of Commerce urges the public to attend and become more
familiar with each of the candidates prior to the November election.
