September 2. Fredrick Earl Cochran pleaded guilty to manufacturing a controlled substance – schedule II A, a class 3 felony. According to the plea agreement, Cochran shall serve five years in Community Corrections or three years and six months with the Colorado Department of Corrections. A sentencing hearing has been set for December 2. (Submitted by Captain Ray)

September 11, 9:50 a.m., 14^th and Goff Streets, Eads. A 14-year-old juvenile was issued a citation in to Eads Municipal Court for careless driving following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle which was parked at the time. (Submitted by Captain Ray)

Formal drug charges are expected to be filed early next week with the District Attorney’s office. Charges of possession of s schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine), a class 4 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia are to be filed on a 17-year-old juvenile from Eads. The chargers stem from an investigation over several months. (Submitted by Captain Ray)
