Prairie Queen 4-H Report

On, August 22nd, 2004 the Prairie Queen 4-H Club had their 4-H meeting at the Kiowa County Courthouse at 1:00 p.m. with the Mayo/Fry's being the host family. The following member that's attended were Milly and Tara Spady, Cody Fry, Matea Mayo, Carrie Roberson, Chevaun Glover, Cardon and Remington Brandt, Jennifer and Jayce Negley, and Shalyn Laird.

The meeting was called to order by Madam President: Milly Spady. The pledges were lead by Carrie and Cardon. Then we did roll call which was, what are you looking forward too about school. Next, the minutes were read and approved for the June and July meetings. We had two thank you cards from Chelsea Glover and Erika Rice thanking us for the care packages that we had sent them. Then, Milly gave us the 4-H

 

Council update. Four-H Council nominees were Milly Spady, Shalyn Laird and Matea Mayo for Senators, Milly Spady and Lana Weber for President, Carrie Roberson, Dally Lessenden, Chevaun Glover, Megan Under, and Addie Seifried for secretary, Carrie Roberson and Vincent Koeller for reporter, and then for Leader Advisor Brenda Fickenscher, Carol Spady, and Susan Greenfield.

Next, we discussed fair clean up on September 5, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Then, trash pick-up which we decided to do it September 18th, at 8:00 a.m. We also discussed our Adopt-A-Military which we decided to put it on a hold until Christmas and send all of them a package then. And then start over at the beginning of the New Year. After that, we discussed all of our fair things, the booth and float. Also the scrape book and the concession stands schedule which was handed out. Then Madam President adjourned the meeting. The next meeting will be September 19th with Glovers being the hosts.
