The 82nd Kiowa County Fair boasts
numerous traditional events--PRCA Rodeo performances, horse races, team
roping, chuck wagon breakfasts, 4-H/FFA projects and livestock shows--and
for one night only this year: Jason (Allen) Tyler in concert, Saturday,
September 11th at 7:30 p.m.
Born and raised in Holly, Colorado,
and now living in Country Music USA's Nashville, Tennessee, Jason Tyler is
making a name for himself. At age 25, Jason is pursuing his music interest
in earnest as he has spent the last 3 1/2 years in Nashville devoting
himself to his passion, traditional country singing--taking lessons,
writing music, and playing Karaoke, in between working full time. Says
Jason, "What inspires me is a love of music, I really love music. It's
always what I wanted to do." Jason writes much of his own music and
lyrics. He wrote the melody for several songs on his new CD., "It's a
Small Town Thing."

So why would a hometown boy who's
starting to fit into the Nashville scene want to come back to southeastern
Colorado to perform? Jason says it's because he will never forget his
Holly roots. "The support that I've had all along from home means
everything to me. I can't wait to be back in Southeast Colorado."
The Kiowa County Fair reflects the
American country fair focus on agricultural and animal husbandry at the
same time offering education, local trade booths, and entertainment in an
effort to increase the awareness of what is being done in agriculture,
homemaking, and business enterprises and to encourage youth to develop
their skills in the enterprises of their interest in an atmosphere of
friendly competition. Of the more than 3,200 fairs held in North America
each year, country fairs like this are a rarity, so don't miss the Kiowa
County Fair this year! And remember, one night only, September 11th-- the
Jason Tyler Concert--("What's that?" you say. Well, come to the fair and
find out.).
