August 20, 10:30 p.m., Maine Street, Eads. Sheriff Frazee and Deputy LeFlore arrested Martin L. Martinez, 20, of Eads for third degree assault against another man and resisting arrest. Martinez was later transported to Prowers County Jain in lieu of a $2,250 bond. The investigation is continuing, and more charges and arrests are expect pending the outcome of the investigation. August 21, 5:13 p.m., Alamosa, Colorado. Karl Eugene Dotey, 27, of Eads was arrested on a Kiowa County warrant for contempt of court. Dotey is being held on a $2,500 bond in Alamosa. (Submitted by Captain Ray)
August 25. A Kiowa County Court arrest warrant was issued for Kasey Ray Kemper, 26, of Holly for fraud by check. Bond was set at $250. (Submitted by Captain Ray)
August 25. A Kiowa County Court arrest warrant was issued for Rigoberto Gonzales, 41, of Roseville, California, for fraud by check. Bond was set at $250. (Submitted by Captain Ray)
August 25. A Kiowa County Court arrest warrant was issued for Samuel Charles Haley, 28, for fraud by check – account closed 30 days or more from issuance. Bond was set at $2000. (Submitted by Captain Ray)
