The third annual Kiowa County 4-H
Foods Auction, held Monday night, was a great success. Sixteen food items
were sold for a total of $950. Average price was $59.37. All of the foods
were made by a 4-H member for their Foods or Cake Decorating project
exhibit.
The highest selling item was a
decorated cake made by Cloverbud member Ryan Koeller.
Food auction buyers were: Herb and
Leona Morlan, Donald Oswald (2 items), Joyce Berry, Rick Harris, Vern
Harris, Barbara Roberson, Bonnie Lessenden (2 items), Dwight Lessenden,
Marvin Koeller, Sylvia Weeks, Virgil Lessenden, Louis James, Bruce
Fickenscher and Kaye Kasza. Their support of the 4-H program is greatly
appreciated.
Four-H members can only sell one
item in the food auction. Those members selling an item were: Cody Fry,
Chevaun Glover, Andrea Williams, MacKenzie Jones, Remington Brandy, Matea
Mayo, Millicent Spady, Lakota Roberson, Tara Spady, Kelcie Smith, Brandy
Turcotte, Ryan Koeller, Shalyn Laird, April Turcotte, Dally Lessenden,
Alicia James. Three percent of the money from the auction is put into the
4-H Scholarship Fund, the remainder goes to the 4-H member.
