Prairie Queen 4-H Update

On, Sunday July 25th, 2004 the Prairie Queen 4-H club went on their yearly project tour. We started out at the Spady's House at 2:00 pm, Milly and Tara gave brief demonstrations on projects. Milly went first and showed us her sewing, preserved foods, decorate your duds, cake decorating, her gardening poster board, and her shooting sports poster board. Then Tara showed us her leather craft project, decorate your duds, and her gardening poster board. They also showed us their garden and their cattle.

Next, we headed down to the Mayo's/ Fry's house where Cody Fry and Matea Mayo shared their projects. Matea told us about her ideas for her projects along with Cody. Then Cody took us to show us his Lamb and Goat.

Then, we went over to the James* house where Jessica showed us her sewing, global citizenship, and her vet science. Alicia shared her cookies with us and her decorate your duds with a demonstration on the parts of a saddle. Then we went out to the carrels where Brain, Jessica, and Alicia displayed their horses that they planned on showing.

After that, we went out the Eads FFA AG Farm where Carrie Roberson showed the club her two pigs.

Next, we went to the Brandt's house to see Remington's rabbits and Garden's pigs. They also showed the club their garden.

Then, we went to Joyce Berry's house to see the Brandt's garden along with George Ellicott's across the alley.

 

After that we went over to Alice Glover's house to see Chevaun Glover's garden.

Then, we headed over to the Roberson's house to see Carrie's rabbits, two wild life poster boards on small game and birds of prey, and her crochet project.

Lakota showed us her garden.

Afterwards we went out the George Ellicott's garden out by the fairgrounds. Then when we were done with that we went over to the community building to the pot luck. While the food was cooking the club had a brief meeting called to order by Madam President Milly Spady. We discussed a few bills that needed to be paid and the bills were approved. Then we discussed the Exhibit day decorations since the theme is "Go Ape For 4-H." The meeting was adjourned a little while after. Then, Jennifer Negley gave talks on her Dog Obedience, ceramics, leather craft, and her sewing projects. After she went her brother Jayce Negley gave some demonstrations on his projects which were ceramics, rocketry, and leather craft. Followed by, Tyier Salisbury giving a talk on his project which is ceramics.

Then, Jace Roberson gave a talk on his Junior Leadership project. Then the food was ready so we sat down and ate with the following guests; Doris Lessenden, Alice Glover, Rich and Carol Spady, Dwight, Bonnie, and Terrel Lessenden, Darrel, Jodie, Molly, and Chase Stolzenberger, Louise and Dawn James, Terry, Areta, and Leslie Laird, Key Glover, Jeff and Terry Salisbury, Shawn Roberson, John and Laura Negley, Mike and Cindy McCloud, and Billy Brandt.
