Death Notice-Doris J. Phillips-McFarlin, 74

Doris J. Green was born June 24, 1930 at Elk City, Oklahoma to Jesse and Icie Green and departed this life on Sunday, July 25, 2004 at the Valley View Care Home in Canon City, Colorado where she had been a resident the last several years.

Doris is survived by three grandchildren: Shelly Phillips of Denver, Gary (Jennifer) Phillips of Phoenix, Arizona and Brian (Tammi) Phillips of Buena Vista, Colorado; by two great granddaughters: Kysandra of Phoenix and Ashton of Buena Vista; also surviving are one brother: Gene Green of San Angelo, Texas; one sister: Bonnie Rollins of Hobbs, New Mexico; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

McFarlin was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Icie Green; by her husband: Jimmie McFarlin of Lamar on March 18, 2001; by one son: Richard Phillips of Lamar; by two brothers: Joe Green of Elk City, Oklahoma and Buss Green of Lawton, Oklahoma; and by two sisters: Joy Stigleman of Elk City, Oklahoma and Mae Johnson of Wild Horse, Colorado.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 30 at the Veterans National Cemetery at Ft. Lyon, Colorado with Rev. Galan Burnett officiating.
