May Valley Speedway July 10th Race Results

Everyone was in a racing mood after having taken off the previous week from racing. The program started out with the Mini Stocks. Sixteen Mini Stocks were divided in two Heat Races. The first heat race was won by #13 Nick Squire of Syracuse with #4 Matt Burkhart of Lamar in second. #7 Steve Hernandez managed to take first in the second heat race with #29 Shawn Lopez in second. Nick Squires took home the cash in the Mini Stock Cash Dash.

Next the Super Stocks roared around the track. In the first heat race #9 Randy Tipton of Weskan, Kansas was first with #5 Andy Woller in second. #2 Angel Munoz was first in the second heat race with #68 Brad Hopkins coming in second. #9 Randy Tipton took the Super Stock Cash Dash.

Next up were the Rocky Mountain Dwarf Cars. Twelve of those little 1927-1936 replicas buzzed around the track. In the first heat #22 Leroy Dilka of Wiggins was first with #83 Chris Tiffany of Littleton coming in first in the second heat. #83 Chris Tiffany took the money in the Cash Dash.

The Hobby Trucks had an interesting race with #20 Brock Hall in first with #80 Reece Spady in second. #92 Keith Eldon Nidey was the winner of the Cash Dash in the Hobby Truck Division.

#22 Doug Lapar of Springfield was the winner in the first heat race for the Econo Cars. #30 Al Rodi was second. The second heat race in the Econo Class say #21 Robbie in first position with #77 Dan Dewey in second. Robbie Wilger also took home the cash.

During intermission the Jr. Fan Club kids enjoyed a sack race. In the 6 – 9 age group Kyle Dupree was first with Dustin Wrobleski in second. In the 10 – 13 age group Kacy Segers came in first with Kimberly Salisbury in second.

 

The Mini Stock group was next and all lined up for the Main Event. It was a close race as 16 little mini stocks raced for 25 laps. #29 Shawn Lopez was the winner with #40 Parke Hawkins in second.

The Super Stocks put on quite a show as they ran neck and neck and traded leads several times. #5 Andy Woller took the first place win with #9 Randy Tipton in second.

The Dwarf Cars were next and after a couple of spins and yellow lights #83 Chris Tiffany was the winner with #1 Fred Schneider in second.

The Hobby Truck Main Event saw a couple of yellow lights as two trucks were disabled and went to the pit area. In the final tally #20 Brock Hall was lst place winner with #2 Pat Thompson in second.

The final Main Event of the evening was the Econo Division. Once again, track promoter Don Woller, turned them around so that they went the opposite way on the track. #77 Dan Dewey was in first with #17 Jim McEndree coming in second.

Next race is this Saturday night, July 17th which is "DARE NIGHT" with our local police department and also the Econo Class will have a 40 lap $200 to win Main Event.
