Xeriscaping Workshop

Kiowa County Commissioners office and CSU Extension Office will be sponsoring a free Xeriscape workshop. The workshop will be held July 6 at 6 p.m. at the Kiowa County community building, located at the fairgrounds in Eads.

Jean Van Pelt of Southeastern Water Conservancy District will teach the workshop. Some of the topics covered will be: designing a xeriscape garden, creating practical turf areas and choosing alternative turfs, and coping with drought.

The workshop is specifically designed for a high plains environment. Refreshments will be served.
