Wild Horse Roundup

Marty, Lee and I went to Denver Friday so Marty could go to her dentist. While in Norway a tooth got a chip off of it, but was able to wait. We had supper at Steve’s and Nathan and family were there so we got to visit with them before they leave for Mexico. They are planning on a year at an orphanage. There was a going away party for them Saturday, but we came home as we wouldn’t know many of the folks. We got home in time to mow some weeds before that 1 2/100 of rain fell. Our biggest rain yet and it is nice to see water standing.

There was a tragic accident east of 94 junction apparently caused by poor visibility in the hard rain. It was a head-on of a car and truck and I was told two fatalities.

Bill Skinner’s brothers and two boys were visiting this weekend.

Marty brought back the most beautiful snapshots and video which we are watching now of filling the silo. Marty learned how to do it real quick. The scenery there was so pretty as it was while they were fishing. She took some of all three girls in their native dresses which are beautiful.

Opal Nicolls passed away a couple of days ago and services will be Wednesday in Colorado Springs. She lived here in Wild Horse for quite a few years. She fell sometime back and broke her hip and some leg bones so she hasn’t been to well since. She has been living north of Denver with some of her family.

We just had a call from Norway and everybody but Lee Ann had gone fishing. She stayed home and done the milking. The place they went to they had to hike for an hour. They all caught some and it was nine total. They got back while Lee Ann was talking. She said it had been raining all week. Maybe some of theirs followed Marty home.
