Third Annual Eads Kids College is a Go

The third annual Eads Kids' College
will be held at Eads High School Monday, June 14, through Thursday, June
17. Classes will be offered in the mornings and afternoons.
Registration for EKC has been
extended through Monday, May 31. Extra registration forms may be obtained
on the outside counter at the Eads Post Office; please contact Deb Kliesen
to enroll for any classes at (719) 438-2026. There is a wonderful array of
fun and enriching classes, and we hope many students will enroll and take
advantage of this local opportunity.

A student should be in the first
through eighth grades as of his/her standing for this coming fall of 2004.
Classes offered in the different age ranges include: 1st and 2nd graders
can take Kids' Crafts, Basic Scrapbooking, and Fun With Flowers; 3rd
through 5th graders can take Engineering Science, Cake Decorating for
Kids, and Crafts For Fun; 6th through 8th graders can take Basic Floral
Design, Beaded Pouches, Weaving For Fun, Science Investigations, Pamper
Yourself, and Basic Sign Language.
On the last day of classes we will
have a complimentary picnic for all participants and their families on the
Eads Courthouse lawn from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. During the same time frame as
the picnic, their will be a Showcase of the projects and accomplishments
of the students in the basement meeting room of the Eads Courthouse. The
Public is invited to view the Showcase between 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. on
Thursday evening, June 17. The class times are on the registration form,
and EKC is offered on behalf of our school district, Kiowa County RE-1.
