Wild Horse Roundup

Lee and I attended a wedding Saturday along with a lot of other folks. Kathleen Paintin became the bride of Michael Collins. It was a beautiful wedding with a very pretty bride and her escorts with their pretty dresses made it a very lovely affair. We wish for them many, many happy years together. They will be making their home in Amarillo, Texas.

Amy Johnson served club Thursday and as usual lots of good food for a nice crowd. I see they were passing out the tickets that are to be sold for chances on the quilt the ladies made and is to be given away this fall.

Friday we had company for a short time, Nancy Skoc who lives in Aurora and works in Lamar and drives back and forth every week. Her car broke down in the rain near out house two weeks ago and she was so glad to find a place to get in and use a phone. Her car isn’t fixed yet. She said her mother is from Norway. When she left she left a card with a $20.00 gift certificate for the café in Kit Carson. Most people are so nice.

We are in Hugo where we attended the graduation exercises. There was a large crowd for a very impressive ceremony. One thing that was nice was a video of the graduates from babyhood till now. I was told that Courtney Grauberger put it together and she done a great job. Marty with the help of Sue Dutro decorated the community building for a reception for Kirsti. There were quite a few people who came and went and enjoyed good refreshments. Bob and Sue Dutro and Gary and Kristie Borns helped Marty put the place back in order. Kirsti took the balloons outside and turned them loose one at a time and the last we seen they were going high and far.
