Wild Horse Roundup

What a surprise I got Friday while in the bank. I was leaning on a railing to visit as usual, when this nice looking lady came up to me and threw her arms around my neck. She said to me "I’m Deb," and then I seen her mother Maxine Shaver sitting in the office. It’s been many years since we have seen them and I’ve known them since they were born. Her sister, Connie, was out in the car. There were some kids and grandkids. Marty was there and I got Lee so she could visit these old friends.

I know a mother who got a nice present the day before Mother’s Day. Our granddaughter gave birth to Emma Lynn, who is our 9th great grandchild. I have trouble remembering dates, names and ages now and it is not getting any easier. We are all very happy about it.

Marty treated her mother to a nice dinner in Kit Carson Friday and Kirsti and I got to go along. Lee had her favorite meal of fried chicken.

Lee and I are spending Mother’s Day (today) with Marty and Kirsti. We looked at a video Marty made of the kids before the prom. There sure are a lot of nice looking young people here. We are so proud of Kirsti as she was chosen Prom Queen and Shawn Bletzacker was chosen King. Kirsti was real lucky at winning a stereo-audio system with a 3 CD changer.

Marty got some pictures from Norway on her computer of Jessi and Jenni dressed for their confirmation and they sure looked nice. I still have a hard time understanding how pictures come through the air about seven thousand miles.

Oh happy day the cows didn’t come for feed this morning. They were down along the creek finding some green grass.
