Sponsors of Eads Golf Greens Recognized
April 30, 2004
It’s been a long time coming. In
March, 2002 things started into motion on converting sand greens into
grass greens along with the grass tee boxes. The Eads Golf Association
would like to show, their appreciation to all the many volunteers for the
effort and time on developing the greens and tee boxes. It has been a
great and responsive effort by all of the community. It will be an asset
to the town and county as it continues to grow and expand. The new grass
greens were open for play in September of 2003, after nearly a year of
golfers holding off their game while the greens were groomed into
condition.
We invite everybody to come and play
the new course and see the improvements that were made. Green fees are $9
for 9 holes or $15 for all day play. Some upcoming open tournaments that
you can attend to check out the new course are June 5 Scotch doubles; June
27 the 2 man scramble, July 18 the 4 man scramble and August 7 and 8 is
the best ball.
