Philpy, Sylvia Qualify for Regionals

Miles Philpy and Chris Sylvia of the Regis University men’s golf team have qualified as individuals to compete in the NCAA Division II West / Northwest Super Regional, which will be held Monday-Wednesday, May 3^rd-5th, at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club in Bellingham, Washington, hosted by Western Washington University.

Philpy, a freshman from Eads, and Sylvia, a sophomore from Atco, New Jersey, were two of five individuals selected to represent the Northwest Region.

The NCAA Division II West / Northwest Super Regional is actually comprised of two simultaneous Regional tournaments of eight schools from both the West and Northwest Regions. In addition, five individuals, from non-qualifying schools, in each Region are selected to compete.

The winning school in each Region earns an automatic berth in the NCAA Division II National Tournament, which will be held Wednesday-Saturday, May 12^th-15th, in Orlando, Florida Furthermore, the top individual in each Region, from schools not qualifying for Nationals, will earn an individual berth in the National Tournament.
