Obituary - Lara Morlan 8

Lara Rose Morlan, blessed the lives of Rob and Lori Morlan, with her birth on November 10, 1995 in Lamar, Colorado. Lara was a blessing to all who came into contact with her from the moment she was born. She was an extraordinary little girl, always happy and smiling, bringing light into lives around her. She loved to laugh and make others happy.

Lara attended second grade at Eads Elementary School. She loved school, and the many friends she had, ranging in all ages. She delighted in her reading and music, and aspired to be a cheerleader. Lara loved being outside and spending time with her best friend, Chelsea. The highlight of each week for Lara was Kings Kids, where she joined her friends in praising Jesus in song and prayer. Lara had a love for animals, especially her cat Purry, and a unique way with all animals. She wanted to be a traveling veterinarian and a mom with lots of children, when she grew up.

Lara passed from this life on March 10, 2004. In the arms of Jesus she will watch over, her parent's Rob and Lori Morlan, 2 sisters Matea and Hallie, 2 brothers Joshua and Cody, grandparents Herb and Leona Morlan and Joyce Abrams, great-grandparents George and Florence Morlan, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and pets.

Lara was preceded in death by her grandfather Harry L. (Buddy) Abrams, great grandparents Harry R. and Eva Abrams, James E. Turner and Vera Collins, and one uncle, Chuck Rosetta.

Funeral services were held March 17, 2004 at the Eads High School gymnasium, with Pastor Donald Lott and Tony Jensen of the Assembly of God church officiating. Casket bearers were the Eads Eagle Wrestlers: Shawn Kraft, Cody Cordova., Kelly Lindholm, Brandon Cordova, Hunter Uhland and Tyler McCracken. Honorary casket bearers were wrestling coaches, Monte Tinnes and Lance Jagers. Music was provided by Bob Seay and 'The Kings Kids". Burial took place at the Eads Cemetery with Brown funeral home in charge of the arrangements.

Contributions can be made to the Eads Elementary Library through the Lara Morlan Memorial Fund at Valley State Bank in Eads, Colorado.
