Sheridan Lake Livewires 4-H Club MeetsMarch 26, 2004 The Sheridan Lake Livewires 4-H club met at Plainview, on March 2, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. President, Cassie Harris called the meeting to order at 7:14 p.m. with the following members in attendance: Lana Weber, Megan Linder, Shelby Harris, Vincent Koeller, Katie Sanders, Lauren Weber, Tyler Harris, Natalya Weber, Miranda Weber, Kacy Segers, Lyaneah Segers, Jami Lane, Samantha Splitter, Quinton Weber. Leaders Pete Rohlman and Gail Koeller were also in attendance. The American Pledge and the 4-H Pledge were recited. There was no Treasurer’s report, as the bank statement had not come. Vincent gave a report from the Kiowa County Council Report. Milly Spady reported on the State Senate Meeting and the Youth Fest she attended. Jessica James reported on the Leadership Development Conference she attended. The Kiowa County Fun Festival will be March 5 at the Community Building in Eads. The Council will be doing the Southeastern Colorado Power Association dinner on March 25. Sheridan Lake Livewires will be in charge of the dessert, Haswell Milemarkers will be in charge of the rolls and Prairie Queen will be in charge of setting up and cleaning up. The Council members will serve the dinner. Old Business was to remind members to get their enrollment dues to Shelby.

New Business included making St. Patrick’s Day Nut Cups for the Weisbrod Nursing Home residence. The committee was Lauren, Lyaneah, Cassie and Gail. It was decided to make them after school on March 9. We then discussed the SECPA dinner, each family is to make 2- 9x12 pans of chocolate/vanilla pudding desserts. The Kiowa County Health Fair will be April 2 & 3, the county nurse has asked us to make muffins to be picked up at Plainview on April 1. Vincent, Cassie and Shelby volunteered to make 6 dozen all together. Katie gave a demonstration speech, how to make a single and a double crochet. Shelby gave a demonstration speech, how to thread a sewing machine. Tyler gave a project talk on Woodworking and Lauren gave a project talk on Cake Decorating. Megan volunteered to give a demonstration speech, and Vincent volunteered to give a project talk at our April 2, 2004 meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
