KCEDF to Host Public Meeting

Kiowa County Economic Development Foundation has had an extraordinarily busy, exciting year. KCEDF activities have been varied and spread throughout the entire county. During the upcoming year, we will take on larger projects that will benefit not only Kiowa County, but the Southeast region of Colorado. These will include the promotion of tourism, value-added agriculture, renewable energy as well as continuing to assist with infrastructure projects that will make Kiowa County an attractive area to live and work. KCEDF will begin development of the Jackson property that was acquired by the Foundation last year.

The Foundation’s annual meeting will be held April 1, 6:00 p.m. at the Kiowa County Community Building. Due to the expanded plans of KCEDF and the impact of those endeavors on the community, the Foundation is opening this year’s annual meeting to the public. The dinner will be potluck, with KCEDF providing meat, rolls, potatoes and place settings. Just bring your favorite side dish or dessert. We encourage those with an interest in the future of Kiowa County to attend. Presentations will include: Ken Strom, Director of Bird Conservation for Audubon Colorado will speak about bird watching and conservation and the related opportunities for tourism. "KCEDF Project
