Wild Horse Roundup

I just listened to the Kit Carson and Eads championship game and oh, happy day we won. The boys played hard the whole tournament as all the teams did. Congratulations. I never heard how Cheyenne Wells came out.

I saw the Johnson family at the café Tuesday and they were out celebrating their 67th anniversary. Vernon (Tuffy) and son Tony were there.

I was reading Friday’s Denver paper and there was a picture of two fellows that are working on the Blagg murder case and one of them is Scott Ehlers. He and his folks used to live in Hugo and his dad Jerry took care of the microwave south of here. He is an investigator for the Sheriff’s office in Grand Junction. You never know what these kids will turn in to.

I was reading our 1918 Wild Horse Times newspaper and it is kinda fun to read what people were doing then and it isn’t much different than now days, except nice cars, TV, computers and such, but I think they had a good life then. The paper is pretty brittle so it tears easy.

My bursitis in my left shoulder has been hurting for a long time so it was hard to sleep so I went to the doctor and he got out a long needle, but it didn’t hurt as bad as the bursitis. I’ve got most of the weight back I lost last year and he said I didn’t look so good then.

Marty and I was putting Pouron on our few cows and cut out some springers and Kristi helped just like a regular cowgirl.

I watched the 10 o’clock news and they showed Kit Carson as they won their game and it was on again on the 7 o’clock news this morning. They interviewed Jake Trahern. It was nice to see.

I think our tulips are getting ahead of their selves as we have quite a few showing up.

Ron and Veda Bunch and son visited us Sunday afternoon and we had the nicest time looking at old pictures and talking about the Wild Horse that used to be. It was a very enjoyable visit.
